GREAT CARVED EAGLE WITH BANNER

SOLD

A great carved eagle with the banner saying, "Don't Give Up The Ship". The original paint is missing in spots, revealing the underlying base of white gesso. These areas are not very noticeable when the piece is hanging on the wall and certainly do not detract. There is a 3/4" dent on the shield, otherwise, there are no repairs and no missing pieces. This realistic style of carving is executed beautifully and this piece is an asset to any folk art collection. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.
