A rare, heavy waxed red crepe paper butterfly with gold painted edges. There is also a gold painted doll size clothes pin for the body and tiny wires for the antennae. There is also a wire for hanging in the tree. A sprinkling of mica is on the surface to give the butterfly a shimmery look. A similar example of these types of butterflies are in the book, "Christmas Ornaments, A Festive Study" by Margaret Schiffer. A fantastic piece in excellent condition. A lovely wax over composition angel with a silver metallic thread skirt and lace trim. She has a delicate and fine handpainted face and blonde mohair wig. She has her spun glass wings with dresden rosettes and the hook on her back for hanging. She also comes with her original box which is a rare find. In excellent condition. A beautiful large wax over composition angel with her metal horn. Her red muslin skirt is a bit faded and she has her sash. She has a full blonde mohair wig and her face is delicately hand painted. Her spun glass wings are complete and they have their gold dresden rosettes on them. No breaks, cracks or repairs. The wax is a little dusty with age. The metal hook on her back is there for hanging. A lovely wax over composition angel with spun glass wings and brunette hair. She is wearing a red muslin skirt and is complete with her sash. Her wings have tiny gold dresden rosettes.
