A beautiful landscape theorem painting on velvet in a period gilt frame. The subject is castle remnants overlooking a boat on a bay with two fishermen on the shore. It is a large size measuring 24 5/8" wide by 20 5/8" tall, including the frame. The visible theorem itself measures 22 1/2" wide by 18 5/8" tall. The nails attaching the stretchers to the frame are replaced. There are several damaged spots on the velvet, the largest of which is 1"x 3/4" and is located above the largest structure. Another spot above the top left foliage measures 1/4"x 1/4". There are two narrow 1/2" wide spots to the right of the sitting fisherman. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

C. 1840,   New England

A beautiful painted floral theorem on linen with the initials H T. There are no holes but there is darkened foxing. It is in a period frame with original dark green paint. There are some worn paint areas to the frame. From the collection of Hillary Underwood of Vermont. The frame measurements are 12" wide by 10 1/8" height. The visible part of the theorem is 10" wide by 8 1/8" height. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

C. Early 19th century,  New England

A wonderful floral theorem on velvet in a period frame with very old, if not original varnish. There are two 1/8" abrasions and one that is pinhead size. All in all, the theorem is in very good condition for its age. On the reverse side is an inscription from a descendant that reads, "This Painting On Velvet" was done by- Charlotte Crane Roberts- About the year 1825. The frame measurements are 12 1/8" wide by 9 5/8" height. The visible part of the theorem measures 9 1/8" wide by 6 5/8" height. Additional photos are attached by the magnifying glass icon.

A great original paint decorated carousel whirligig toy. The metal horse figures appear to be soldiers and a bronco rider. The wood base is pine and shows some age shrinkage cracks. A very large red and mustard paint decorated checkerboard. There are side galleries for the pieces that would have been used to play the game. The reverse side is a brightly colored parchessi board.
